Reading FC, In Brief

To begin with, Reading came into existence in 1871. However, the club did not join the league system until 1920.

Reading play their home games in the Madejski Stadium which has a capacity of 24,161. Indeed, the ground can create a terrific atmosphere when full.

Reading played their football at Elm Park until 1998. However, around this period, a lot of teams were moving to be purpose-made all-seater stadiums.

Club Honours
