Checkatrade Trophy 2018/19 Season

Obviously, forum is all about the British domestic cup competitions. For example, The FA Cup and The League Cup etc. However, it is also for the minor cup competitions or even British clubs in European cups.

After those games we have the semi final draw as follows:

Bury v Portsmouth
Bristol Rovers v Sunderland

Good luck if your team is one of these.

Bury is flying high in League two and Portsmouth form has took a nosedive after leading League one for ages.
Looks like they could miss out on automatic promotion.
So Bury might get a scalp here.
Sunderland should win Bristol Rovers so it will be Sunderland v Bury in the final.
While anything could happen there I think that Sunderland have a more professional squad to win it.

Well it turned out that Sunderland will play Portsmouth in the final.
The Checkatrade Trophy Final is at Wembley on the 31st March.
The scramble for tickets is now on.
Good luck to supporters on the day.
Should be a decent game of football for the neutral on TV.

The people who run the competition couldn't wish for better teams to be in the final. Two teams steeped in history and tradition.

Its Portsmouth who won it.
The game finished 2-2 after 120 minutes (1-1 on 90).
Pompey won 5-4 on penalties so well done to them.
